This is a beautifully hand made pocket book. It is an introductory journal of the short poem and the plan is for it to be available semi-annually, with the second issue being available in autumn 2005.

I must admit to being a little disappointed with the content. The problem is that the binding and presentation of the material is so lovely that expectation is very high and presents a tall order. This particular edition does not quite hit the mark or meet this expectation, because the content is variable, but then it is early days and the journal needs a chance to establish itself. The visuals, by David Miller and Jim Kacian, are exciting and give a flavour of the potential of this journal.

The book contains a variety of forms from a one-line, to a sixteen-line poem. Here is a little delight from Caroline Gourlay:

	a child's outstretched hand . . .
	both eyes of the Buddha
	closed
and here is a one-line piece from Chris Gordon:
	mud caked gloves on the sidewalk in a house a flute being played
