PROSE KAREN

This is a very wide ranging anthology which includes prose, and visual poems. Of all the works I think, for me, the visual poems stand out. The lines from CULT by Rhonda Mack give a light take on linguistic forms:

	put
	these
	on
	you, plaster
	me
	with
	neon
	pop
	culture
	dangling
	music
	&
	unflavoured
	wine
and Elizabeth Sohne takes on childhood memories in her poem called 32B:
I have no barbie doll resentments
	no bra size issues
	no super model complexes
I knew nothing od ream houses or beach parties
'til I was too old to care
	Tanned plastic boys lacking balls
played no part in my childhood delusions

I was raised believing in the GI Joe,
	Superhero,
	Master of the universe ideal
This anthology contains an impromptu renku started during the Haiku Canada Weekend 2000, in Ontario and opens with:
	naked goddess'
			unheard melodies
	keep Enoshima's cats well fed
						Marshall Hruciuk

	far from shore
	pearls beneath bubbles
						LeRoy Gorman

	crimson leaves
	luminescent
	in sunshine
						Terry Ann Carter

	time to change back
	to flannelette sheets
						Claudia Coutu Radmore
The renku is called NAKED GODESS RENKU, lead by Marshall Hruciuk, and the link between the first and second stanzas had me thinking of all sorts of weird connections! Enjoy this renku.
